The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 have recently surfaced in real-life photos, thanks to a leak from SpillSomeBeans. These images offer a first glimpse into the design and features of Tecno’s highly anticipated foldable smartphones.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, in particular, shows a significant design overhaul. Unlike its predecessor’s circular cover display, the V Flip 2 now boasts a much larger cover screen. This upgrade promises enhanced usability and a more modern look. Although the outer screen is currently off, the inner display features symmetrical bezels all around, coupled with a punch-hole cutout for selfies.
A sticker on the back reveals some key specifications: the V Flip 2 will support dual-SIM functionality, come with 256GB of internal storage, and is identified by the AE11 model number. This model was previously listed on Geekbench with a Dimensity 8050 chipset, hinting at robust performance.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 also appears in the leaked images, carrying the model number AE10. This device is listed on Geekbench with a Dimensity 9000+ chipset, suggesting high-end performance capabilities. The V Fold 2 features punch-hole cutouts on both the cover and inner screens for the selfie cameras. On the rear, a camera deck with three lenses, including a 50MP main camera and a telephoto lens, is prominently displayed.
While detailed specifications are still under wraps, the leak hints that the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 might hit the market in Ghana starting September 8. This release could mark a significant milestone for Tecno, expanding its presence in the foldable smartphone market.
As more information becomes available, tech enthusiasts and potential buyers are eagerly awaiting further details on these innovative devices.
