Realme has officially expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Realme 13 5G and Realme 13+ 5G. These new additions bring exciting features and impressive hardware, aiming to provide users with a seamless 5G experience. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, both devices come with significant upgrades that cater to users seeking performance, speed, and affordability. Let’s take a closer look at what these two models bring to the table.
The Realme 13+ 5G is the first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, offering an eight-core CPU with 4x Cortex A78 cores clocked up to 2.5 GHz and 4x Cortex A55 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz. This 4nm chipset, combined with a Mali-G615 GPU, delivers smooth performance with superior power management. Additionally, Realme has included a stainless steel vapor chamber (6,050 mm²) to keep the device cool during heavy tasks.
The 6.67-inch OLED display on the Realme 13+ 5G boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, ensuring a vibrant and smooth viewing experience. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor (Sony LYT-600) alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens, offering versatile photography options.
Powering the Realme 13+ 5G is a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging, ensuring users can quickly get back to full power. The phone runs on Realme UI based on Android 14, providing a smooth and customizable software experience. It is available in three stunning colors: Victory Gold, Speed Green, and Dark Purple. Pricing starts at INR 22,999 ($275) for the base variant (8GB RAM/128GB storage), with higher storage configurations also available.
The Realme 13 5G offers users 5G connectivity at an affordable price, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. Paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), this device offers smooth multitasking and ample storage. Unlike its 4G counterpart, which uses the Snapdragon 685, the Realme 13 5G brings a notable performance boost with the Dimensity 6300 chipset.
Like the 4G model, the Realme 13 5G comes with an IP64 rating, ensuring protection against water and dust. It also features a stainless steel vapor chamber to help maintain optimal device temperatures during extended usage. The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery but settles for 45W fast charging instead of the 67W found in the 4G variant. Nevertheless, this is still enough to deliver solid battery life for everyday use.
Starting at INR 17,999 ($215) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant, the Realme 13 5G provides a competitive price point in the mid-range 5G segment. The open sales for both models begin on September 6.
Both the Realme 13 5G and Realme 13+ 5G offer attractive features and competitive pricing, making them compelling choices in the 5G smartphone market.
