Realme has once again pushed the boundaries of fast charging technology with its new 320W SuperSonic Charge system, setting a new record by fully charging a smartphone in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. This groundbreaking technology was unveiled during a recent event at Realme’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China, where the company showcased its latest innovations in fast charging.
The 320W SuperSonic Charge technology marks a significant leap forward from previous charging speeds, surpassing Xiaomi’s 300W technology, which could fully charge a device in 4 minutes and 55 seconds. Realme’s new system is capable of charging a smartphone battery to 26% in just 1 minute, 50% in 2 minutes, and reaching a full charge in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, based on a demonstration with a 4,420mAh battery.
What sets Realme’s 320W SuperSonic Charge apart is its use of a quad-cell ultra-thin battery design, which enables faster charging by allowing multiple cells to charge simultaneously. This design innovation is complemented by the introduction of an AirGap voltage transformer, which maintains power efficiency and protects the phone from potential damage during electrical faults.
In addition to the new 320W technology, Realme has upgraded its previous 240W charger to support 320W, maintaining the same size and adding two USB ports for extended support. The Pocket Cannon now offers 150W support for phones and 65W for laptops.
While details about which devices will feature this new technology are still limited, Realme might reveal more information during its product launches next year. This new charging technology promises to set new standards in the industry and could redefine how quickly we power up our devices.
